That same year, he joined Cape Town’s Heart 104.9FM, presenting two music charts shows on weekends, including an 80’s dance/club anthems music show. He left the station at the beginning of 2009 to focus on other business ventures.

He started a music production company, Ebomvu Entertainment in 1999, with acclaimed producer, Gabi le Roux of “Nkalakatha” fame. One of their music protégés went on to win a national pop music talent show, while others went on to successful careers in the music and media industry. Bongani continues to nurture young music talent in South Africa and currently has a number of exciting music projects in the pipeline for 2021.
